During the match, while England and Australia players wore black armbands, thousands of cricket fans at Adelaide Stadium also remembered the victims with tears in their eyes.
Famous Australian singer John Williamson sang a well-known song to lift the spirits of the audience and remember the victims.
Adelaide Stadium today has flag tunnels as tight security arrangements have been made for today’s match.
50,000 cricket fans are expected to attend the Adelaide Test, in which the Australian team bats first.
On Sunday, 16 people were killed and around 40 were injured, when two people opened fire at Bondi Beach in Sydney, Australia.
