A big change in the French football team, Zidane becomes the head coach

Zidane, the former captain of the French football team, was appointed as the head coach of the French team. He will replace another former national footballer, Didier de Champs, who resigned after 14 years in the post.

The recently concluded 2026 FIFA World Cup was Didier de Champs’ last duty for his country. The team under his coaching lost to Spain in the semi-finals and finished fourth.

Zidane, who won the World Cup for France in 1998, has been away from coaching for 5 years. The last time he coached the Spanish club Real Madrid.

Remember that 54-year-old Zidane is considered one of the most famous football players in the world.

He is likely to coach the team until the 2030 FIFA World Cup. On his appointment, Zidane said it was a proud moment for him to become the coach of his country’s football team.
