Report: Faizan Lakhani The poor performance of Pakistan swimmers at the 2026 Commonwealth Games continued on the second day as all four national swimmers participating in the competition failed to advance beyond their heats of Saturday’s heats.
Pakistan’s Jahan Ara Nabi finished 29th out of 36 swimmers in the ongoing women’s 200m freestyle race in Glasgow with a time of 2 minutes 11.16 seconds and failed to qualify for the final.
In the men’s 400 meter race, Ahmed Durrani won 4 minutes and 14.85 seconds and was 22nd among 27 swimmers and did not enter the finals.
In the men’s 50m freestyle, Hamze Asif was 39th out of 68 swimmers with a time of 24.17 seconds. He could not be among the top 16 swimmers who qualified for the semi-finals.
In the women’s 100 meters race, Harim Malik won 1 minute and 22.51 seconds and was 27th among 28 swimmers, and failed to reach the semi-finals.
Ahmed Durrani and Jahanara Nabi could not advance beyond the heat on the first day.
