England made a brilliant comeback in the second ODI, beating India by 6 wickets

In the second match of the tri-series ODI between England and India, the visitors England won by wickets.

In the second ODI played in Cardiff, the English team won the toss and invited the Indian team to bat first.

Shreyas Iyer was the leading batsman for India with 66 runs off 71 balls which included 5 fours and 2 sixes while Virat Kohli scored 65 runs.

Jofra Archer and Gus Atkinson 3, 3, Saqib Mehmud 2 and Sam Curran and Will Jacks each got a wicket on behalf of the English team.

In pursuit of the target, the English team won the match by losing 6 wickets on the first ball of the 45th over. Joe Root remained unbeaten with 99 runs for England.

For India, Jasprit Bumra, Prasad Krishna, Gurnoor Brar, Shivam Dubey and Akshar Patel took a wicket each.

It is worth recalling that in the first ODI match of the series, the Indian team won by 6 wickets and now the deciding match will be played at Lord’s on 19th July.
