Report: Atiqur Rehman. The Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has prepared a plan for the selection of players for the World Cup.
The players of the National Team will be evaluated in 5 different areas and under that the fitness, technique, mental strength and attitude of the players will be evaluated.
Foreign coaches will rate players from 1 to 5 and must rate 3 or higher in at least 3 out of 5 areas for selection.
The performance of the players will be evaluated with the help of GPS tracking and video analysts.
The proposed selection criteria will be sent to the Selection Committee and the Pakistan Hockey Federation President for final approval.
The Pakistan Hockey Federation reiterated its commitment to adopt a transparent, merit-based and data-driven selection system.
