Argentina reached the World Cup final for the seventh time in its history

In the second semi-final of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, defending champions Argentina advanced to their second World Cup final by beating England 1-2 after a sensational match.

In the second semi-final of the mega event played at the Atlanta Stadium, the first half saw a tough contest between the two teams but neither team could score a goal.

England took the lead in the 55th minute of the second half when Anthony Gordon headed the ball into the net and his team took a 0-1 lead.

After that, Argentina scored a goal against England and equalized 1-1. In the 85th minute, Fernandes scored on behalf of Argentina.

Martínez scored Argentina’s second goal in the final stage of the match and his team scored 1-2 and entered the final.

With this victory, Argentina not only broke England’s dream of playing in the World Cup final after 60 years, but reached the seventh World Cup final in its history.
