Chances of national cricketers playing in foreign leagues are limited

Correspondent Soheyl Imran: The chances of national cricketers playing in overseas leagues in August have decreased.

According to reports, the Pakistan Cricket Board has decided to hold a four-team ODI tournament in August, ahead of the selection of players.

Caribbean Premier League is scheduled from 7th August to 20th September, many national cricketers need NOC from PCB to participate in CPL, players have been informed that ODI tournament is taking place in August, participation in ODI tournament is mandatory for white ball cricketers.

PCB had already issued NOC to Moaz Sadaqat, due to tournament decision Muaz Sadaqat is also unlikely to participate, Sahibzada Farhan, Saeem Ayub, Sufyan Muqim, Saad Masood, Usman Khan and Salman Irshad are likely to not get NOC for CPL.

PCB decided to hold the tournament because of more ODI matches before next season’s World Cup, PCB wants to find good players for the ODI team before the mega event.
