In the quarter-finals of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, England beat hosts Mexico 3-2 to advance to the quarter-finals, where they will face Norway.
In the match that was played in the stadium of Mexico City, the host team had more control of the ball in the early moments, but England changed the game plan and scored 2 goals in a few minutes.
England’s first goal was scored by Jude Bellingham in the 36th minute, then Bellingham scored another goal in the second minute and the other team took the lead.
Julian Quinones, the host of Mexico, made it 2-1 with a strong shot in the 42nd minute. England suffered a blow in the second half of the game when Jarel Kwansa was shown a red card in the 54th minute and then the England team played the rest of the match with ten men.
English football player Harry Kane scored a penalty in the 60th minute and increased England’s lead by 3-1. In the 69th minute of the game, Mexico received a penalty and Raul Jimenez scored.
At the end of the game, England secured their place in the quarter-finals, where they will face Norway in Miami on July 11 thanks to a 3-2 win over Mexico.
