Babar Azam has been appointed as the captain of the Pakistan Test team for the tour of West Indies and England.

Pakistan’s 16-member squad includes captain Babar Azam, Shan Masood, Imamul Haq, Azhan Oweys, Abdullah Fazal, Salman Ali Akha, Khazi Ghori and Muhammad Rizwan.

Sajid Khan, Ali Usman, Amir Jamal, Muhammad Ali, Muhammad Abbas, Obed Shah, Oweys Zafar and Khurram Shahzad are also included.

Middle batsman Saud Shakeel is not part of the squad due to fitness issues.

Pakistan team will start the tour with Test matches against West Indies. The national team will play a warm-up match on July 18 in Trouba.

The first Test between Pakistan and West Indies will be played at Trauba from July 25 to 29.

On this occasion, the Director of the Supreme Cricket Board of Pakistan Aqib Javid said that Asad Shafiq and I have been in the selection committee for 18 months, Misbah-ul-Haq and Sarfraz Ahmed have been in the selection committee for 6 months.

He said that there are 3 formats and you should look at your performance in which format.
