The Hockey Federation hired foreign experts and coaches

Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has recruited foreign staff and coaching experts for the national team.

The Pakistan Hockey Federation has hired five qualified coaches, including 4 foreigners, in which David Dyer, the former fitness coach of the Pakistan Cricket Team, has also been appointed as the fitness coach of the hockey team.

While announcing the high performance coaching team, PHF said that among the four foreign coaches Herman Kruis of Holland, David Dyer of Australia, Bob Johan Veldhof of Netherlands and Chris Bowen of South Africa, Adnan Zakir of Pakistan who is based in Germany have been hired.

Dutchman Herman Kruis will be the head coach and mentor of the Pakistan hockey team, Australia’s David Dyer has been given the responsibility of fitness and high performance coach, Dutchman Bob Johan Veldhoof will be the goalkeeping coach.

Chris Bowen from South Africa has been appointed Sports Psychologist, while Adnan Zakir has been given the responsibility of Youth Talent Identification Coach.

In this regard, PHF President Mohiuddin Ahmad Wani said that this appointment marks the beginning of a new era for Hockey Pakistan, we are gathering international expertise to handle every aspect of the game from player development and sports science to coaching training and high performance systems.

He said that along with preparing our national teams, these professionals will guide our local coaches and build a sustainable coaching infrastructure.
