It has been revealed that the Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) has not audited its accounts for 15 years.
The Auditor General of Pakistan in its annual audit report has identified several serious irregularities in the financial affairs of PSBs.
According to the report, the Pakistan Sports Authority has not prepared financial statements from the financial year 2009-10 to 2024-25.
According to the report, the PSB has not implemented the Single Treasury Account rules, as per the provisions of the Public Financial Management Act 2019, which requires all government funds to be kept in the Single Treasury Account, however, the Pakistan Sports Board has maintained a separate bank account.
According to the report, 3 million 20 thousand 90 thousand 591 rupees are available in PSB’s bank account until June 30, 2025.
