Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has approved a major increase in financial incentives for national and domestic cricketers.
According to reports, the 84th PCB Board of Directors meeting was held in Lahore under the chairmanship of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi.
The additional budget for the new financial year 2026-27 and PSL 12 budget were also approved in the meeting.
It was also agreed that PSL would become administratively and financially independent.
It has been decided to increase the budget from 3 billion rupees to 4 billion rupees by approving an increase of 1 billion rupees in the internal budget.
The meeting also approved the format of the new central contract and the method of payment.
The increase in match fee for national cricket team players has been approved.
It has been agreed to increase the match fee for Quaid-e-Azam Trophy players from Rs 30 lakh to Rs 1 lakh.
It has been decided to increase the match fee of reserve players from 15 thousand rupees to 50 thousand rupees.
Also, the organization of Women’s ODI and T20 tournaments and allocation of funds in this regard was approved.
In the meeting, it was decided that the minimum salary of the ground staff of the region will be 42 thousand dollars. Another 12 reasons were approved for the operation and allocation of funds for human resources.
An allocation of $6.70 billion has been approved for the renovation of National Bank Karachi Cricket Stadium and other infrastructure.
The decisions of the previous BOG meeting were also approved by approving the allocation of funds for the installation of the biomechanics machine at the High Performance Center in Lahore.
In the meeting, PCB Chief Financial Officer Javed Murtaza gave information about the features and figures of the budget for the new financial year.
BOG members Anwar Ghani, Punjab Chief Secretary Zahid Akhtar Zaman, Ismail Qureshi, Sajjad Khoxar, Tanveer Ahmed, Adnan Malik, Zaheer Abbas, Additional Cabinet Secretary Mir Hasan Naqvi and other officials attended the meeting.
PCB Chief Operating Officer Sameer Ahmed, PSL Chief Executive Officer Salman Naseer and all managers also attended the meeting.
