In the final match of the group stage of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, the Pakistan women’s team came out on top and defeated the Netherlands by 37 runs.
In the match played in Bristol, Pakistan lost 126 runs and won 126 runs in the allotted 20 overs. Opener Gul Feroza batted responsibly and played a scoreless 63 runs to get the team fully protected. He was declared the man of the match for his outstanding performance.
In pursuit of the target, the Dutch team could not withstand the Pakistani innings and were bowled out for 89 runs. On behalf of Pakistan, captain Fatima Sana and Ayesha Zafar took three wickets each while bowling well.
It was Pakistan’s first win in the tournament as the national team won just one of its five group stage matches.
After the match Pakistan captain Fatima Sana showed her happiness with the fans and distributed the national team jerseys to the fans of the stadium and was liked by the fans as well.
