Hamza Nazar will join Pakistan’s ‘Red Ball’ camp

Report: Sayyid Yehya Hosseini. The ‘Red Ball’ national team camp under the leadership of Test team captain Sarfaraz Ahmed is going on in Lahore.

Some other players have been called up by the selection committee in the camp due to fitness issues, now the inclusion of right-handed batsman and opener Hamze Nazar is a surprise in the squad.

Tevger, who made his first-class debut in November 2014, represented Quaid-e-Azam Trophy Finalists Sialkot in 10 matches, 4 matches, scoring 245 runs in 7 innings at an average of 35.00, including 3 half-centuries, and ranked first in 61 runs.

He ranked 27th in bowling where he took just 8 1 wickets at an average of 22.28, while Hamza Nazar played 6 matches in the President’s Trophy 2025-26 for Khan Research Laboratories. 385 runs at an average of 42.78 in centuries and half-centuries.

The right-handed batsman scored 175 off 202 balls with 14 fours and 10 sixes against PTV at the UBL Sports Complex at No.7.

According to reports, Hamze Nazar is being considered for selection for the tour of West Indies and England.

The committee said about Hamza Nazar’s performance in Quaid-e-Azam Trophy and President Trophy that Hamza Nazar is among the top 10 players in the all-rounder category in the last 2 years.

Interestingly, Hamza Nazar, who made his first-class debut in 2014, played only 16 first-class matches in a span of 12 years.

He scored 748 runs at an average of 29.92 and took 26 wickets at an average of 37.23. Hamza Nazr age on PCB website is 31 years (2nd July 1995) but on cricket website Cricinfo he is 27 years (2nd March 1999).
