Former American tennis star and owner of 18 Grand Slam titles, Chris Evert, revealed that the merciless cancer has returned for the third time in his life.
It is worth mentioning that the 71-year-old former American tennis player was first diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 2021, then the disease returned in 2023.
Chris Evert said: “I’ve always been very open about my health and last week I had a series of scans which revealed the cancer had returned.
He said that I have already had surgery and will have chemotherapy in the coming weeks to recover.
Chris Evert said cancer is merciless but I am hopeful and determined to fight this battle.
After this situation, Chris Evert will not be able to perform his duties during Wimbledon this time.
Note that 18-time Grand Slam winner Chris Evert has vowed to make a full recovery and has been participating in the broadcast since his retirement in 1989.
