Report: Soheyl Imran. Pakistan Whiteball Team Chief Mike Hesson said about the ongoing whiteball camp at NCA that medical tests and fitness assessments have been conducted here in the first two weeks and the fitness assessments have helped assess the current condition of the players.
Speaking to the media in Lahore, about 27 to 28 players are participating in the camp, from next week along with fitness, skills will also be worked on and highlights for each player will be clear in the next three weeks.
“We have about three months to make major advances in domestication,” said Mike Hasson, Dr.
He said that players need to be fit and strong to meet the demands of international cricket, training is difficult for players but it is necessary.
“We work on both fitness and strength areas while creating an individualized performance plan for each athlete,” said Mike Hasson.
The head coach of the white ball team said that they will work on the technical, tactical, medical and personalization of the players because we work with purpose, not only the arrival and daily training, everyone at NCA has an important role in the improvement of the players.
The head coach said that the white ball camp is ongoing to improve the fitness, condition and skills of the players, the white ball expert and the selected players for the future are participating in the camp.
The head coach praised the young talent and said that it is great to work with the U-19 players and it is important that the young players perform to the standards that they should achieve.
He said that he met Samir Minhas and Farhan Yusuf, worked with Ali Raza and Abdul Subhan in last one month, young players should be given experience and challenge so that they are ready for Pakistan.
Mike Hessen added that there is time to work well on the Asian Games team, the Asian Games team has a good mix of experience and young talent, while preparing the players for the ODI World Cup is important.
