The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is mulling a plan to send a few players to the United States for a special training program to give them an opportunity to learn in a different environment and hone their skills.
Although the final approvals and arrangements for the project are yet to be completed, Pakistan’s white-ball team chief, Mike Hesson, has confirmed that work is underway.
In an interview, Mike Hessen said plans are being considered to send some players to the United States where they will be exposed to modern power hitting methods and a different training environment.
He said that we are sending some players to America. We have a special expertise in power stroke and we are looking for different options. Some players have returned from long-term injuries, while others want to be given a chance to learn different tactics and gain a new mindset.
The move is considered part of a wider strategy to improve fitness and medical culture in Pakistan cricket. This year, British physiotherapist Dr. Javed Mughal has been appointed as PCB’s director of sports and sports medicine.
Recently, Dr.
Mike Hasson said that the program sent to America is not only limited to fitness, but also aims to train players on different techniques and training styles.
The Pakistani coach described the project as a positive development and said that providing new opportunities and opportunities for the players to learn in a different environment would be beneficial for Pakistan cricket.
