Report: Feyzan Lakhani. The 1000th match in the history of the FIFA World Cup will be played tomorrow between Japan and Tunisia.

In Group F, the teams of Japan and Tunisia will face each other at the stadium of Monterrey and the match will be played on Sunday at 09.00 am Pakistan time.

Tunisian captain Elias Sukhiri called participating in the 1000th World Cup match an honor and Japan coach Hajime Moriasu expressed his happiness to participate in the historic match.

It is worth mentioning that 48 teams are participating in the 2026 FIFA World Cup for the first time and 209 teams have participated in the 2026 World Cup qualifying stage.
