The 35th National Games organized by Sindh ended with a resounding victory for the defending champions Pakistan Army.

The closing ceremony will be held on Saturday at the National Stadium. During the closing ceremony, the players and officials of the 14 teams participating in the game will pass by and greet the Chief’s guest. Then, the end of the games will be announced in the traditional way. On this occasion, a colorful ceremony will be held and fireworks will be organized.

Pakistan WAPDA came second in the games this year too, while Pakistan Navy came third.

A total of 14 teams participated in the 32 games that were held after 18 years in 26 places in Qareçok hosted by Singal. Among them, the seven defense champion organizations were Pakistan Army, Pakistan Navy, PAF, WAPDA, Higher Education Commission, Pakistan Police and Pakistan Railways, the four host provinces of Sindh, Punjab, Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit and Baltistan, Azad Jammu and Kashmir and the federal capital Islamabad.

Meanwhile, Pakistan Army proved its superiority in Saturday’s games. In the baseball final, Pakistan Army defeated WAPDA, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa finished third. Pakistan Army managed to win 12 medals in men’s and women’s boxing competitions. Defending champions Pakistan Army won a total of 12 gold medals in the men’s and women’s events.

Pakistan Army won 5 gold and four silver medals in men’s events and 7 gold and silver medals in women’s events and won the overall trophy in women’s events. Navy finished second in the men’s event with three gold, two silver and two bronze medals, while WAPDA finished third with two gold, two silver and three bronze medals.

Among women, HEC was second with one gold, one silver and 4 bronze medals, and Navy was third with two silver and four bronze medals, WAPDA was sixth with one silver and one bronze medal, and Punjab was fifth with two silver and two bronze medals. No boxer has won a medal.

PAF beat Pakistan Army 0-1 in the men’s football match, the decisive goal was scored by Samad. WAPDA defeated Pakistan Navy and won the bronze medal. Pakistan Army also won the women’s football tournament by defeating WAPDA by one goal. Şengal was the third place. Pakistan Army won the Karate Championship with 10 gold medals. In the men’s final, Army Karate became the first with 6 gold and 2 silver medals, WAPDA was second with two gold medals, 2 silver and 3 bronze medals, Punjab was third with one gold, 2 silver and 2 bronze medals, KP was fourth with one gold and 3 bronze medals.

Among the women, army came first with four gold, three silver and one bronze medals, Punjab came second with two gold and three bronze medals, Balochistan came third with one gold, two silver and three bronze medals, Sinun came fourth with one gold, two silver and two bronze medals and WAPDA came fifth with one gold and one bronze medal.

Pakistan Army won the overall trophy of the table tennis tournament. Hawar Fawad won the women’s championship and Ahmed Sajid won the men’s championship. Punjab’s Owais and Kulsoom won mixed doubles titles.

In the women’s competition, Sindh Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan Railways Punjab, Pakistan Navy defeated Pakistan Railways.

For the first time in the history of the Games, the Kickboxing Championship was held as an exhibition sport. The splendid participation of KVTC para-athletes made the event even more interesting.

In the exhibition, Şengal won in the men’s and women’s categories. The pair of Hashish Kumar and Prabhat Kumar won the men’s race and Natalia Zaman and her partner won the women’s race. WAPDA’s Irfan Saeed won the Badminton Singles final by defeating WAPDA’s M Ali LaRoche. M. Ali Laroche settled for the silver medal.

WAPDA’s Mahoor Shahzad won the women’s singles title by defeating Army’s Alja Tariq. In the men’s doubles, Army’s Raja Hasnain and Raja Zulqarnain defeated WAPDA’s M Ali Larosh and Owais Zahid.

In the mixed doubles final, the army pair of Raja Muhammad Hassaneen and Amara Ishtiaq defeated WAPDA’s M Ali LaRoche and Gazala Siddique, the army won the shooting championship with 17 gold, 16 silver and 5 bronze medals. Navy won 15 gold, 12 silver and 13 bronze medals, PAF three silver and eight bronze, Sindh one gold and two silver and HEC four bronze medals.
