England cricket team captain Ben Stokes is likely to be sacked after the nightclub incident.

According to the English press, the England Cricket Board (ECB) has launched an investigation into captain Ben Stokes and fast bowler Gus Atkinson going to a night club.

The media report said the cricketers allegedly got into an altercation with the rugby player at the nightclub, breaching new ECB protocols.

According to the report, the rugby player punched the speed bump where the ECB guard was also present.

The media report stated that the police were not involved in the nightclub incident, and severe disciplinary action is expected against the captain for violating protocols.

According to a media report, the ECB is confident that the cricketers did not show an attacking style, but Harry Brooke is likely to replace Ben Stokes as captain in the second Test against New Zealand.

It is worth noting that the home team won by 115 runs in the first test match played between England and New Zealand at Lord’s and the second test match of the series will be played from June 17 at Oval and the last test match will be played on June 25 in Nottingham.
