Dhaka: Bangladesh all-rounder Liton Das has accused Pakistan cricketer Mohammad Rizwan of unprofessional behavior by avoiding the usual touches after the two matches of the recent test series between Pakistan and Bangladesh.
It is worth mentioning that the tension between the two players came to light during the second Test match in Sylhet when Muhammad Rizwan was displeased with a move near the web screen in the 72nd over of Pakistan’s over. Meanwhile, Liton Das asked a late question, which led to a heated exchange between the two, but referee Richard Kettleborough brought the situation under control.
Speaking at the event organized by the Bangladeshi media agency, Latini Das said that no matter what happens during the game, the players should show respect to each other after the match is over.
Bangladeshi cricketer Liton Das said that Rizwan did not shake our hand after our victory in the first test. This position is not correct. No matter how great a player you are, respect is more important than winning and losing.
He said that even if Rizwan has a personal problem with him, it is against the requirements of respect not to shake hands with the entire Bangladesh team, maybe he had a problem with me, but the entire Bangladesh team did nothing to him.
Despite the criticism, Latindas acknowledged the batting abilities of Muhammad Rizwan and former Pakistan captain Babar Azam and said, “I knew that Babar Azam and Rizwan are the two batsmen who can give us the most problems. Rizwan’s record against Bangladesh is very strong and that was in my mind.”
Liton Das also revealed that the Bangladeshi team adopted a special strategy against Rizwan during the series.
It is worth mentioning that so far there has been no official response from Mohammad Rizwan and the management of the Pakistan team on Das Latini’s allegations.
