Before the start of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, the United States decided not to grant visas to 15 members of the Iranian delegation, and because of that, the Iranian administrative delegation faced difficulties.
According to AFP news agency, Iran’s official television has announced that visas have been issued for players and coaching staff of the national football team, but the issue of visas for 15 members of the administration and management has not been resolved so far.
The representative of the state television from the training camp of the Iranian team in Antalya, Turkey announced that the travel documents of the players and technical staff are complete, but the American visa has not been issued for some members of the delegation.

The 2026 FIFA World Cup is being held jointly in the United States of America, Canada and Mexico. So far, there has been no official statement from the American authorities about the reasons for the postponement or refusal of the visa.
