Report: Soheyl Imran. Pakistan women’s cricket team captain Fatima Sana says that we are excited to compete with the best teams in the world.

Pakistan Women’s Cricket Team Captain Fatima Sana while speaking at the ICC booth said that the ICCT World Twenty20 in England is another opportunity to showcase world-class skills.

He said the World Cup brings together pressure, emotions and memories and it is a dream for cricketers to be a part of it all.

The national team captain added that it was an honor to lead the team in the ICCT Twenty20 World Cup 2024 and is now excited to lead the tournament once again.

Captain Fatima Sana says the team is a good mix of experienced and young players and that’s why we have match winners in our team.

Fatima Sana, who has represented the country in 55 T20 matches for Pakistan, said that we have consistent players like Muniba Ali, Nashera Sindhu and Sadia Iqbal, so the team now understands better than before how to play under pressure, how to take advantage of opportunities.

Fatima Sana said that T20 Cricket has done a great job for the development of women’s cricket, and she is happy to compete again.

Bowling all-rounder Fatima Sana said that this format boosts the energy and enjoyment of women cricketers, gives them an opportunity to focus on the game and viewership of women’s T20 cricket has also increased.

It is worth mentioning that after the conclusion of the tri-nation series starting today in Ireland, the Pakistan women’s team will head to England to participate in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup.

The opening match of the ICC Women’s T20 World will be played on June 12 between hosts England and Sri Lanka, while the Pakistan Women’s Team will begin their campaign against arch-rivals India on June 14 in Birmingham.

The Green Shirts will play their next match against South Africa in the mega tournament on June 17, while the women’s national team will play their third match against Bangladesh in the mega tournament on June 20 in Southampton.

The Pakistan team will face Australia on June 23 at Headingley and will play the final group match against the Netherlands on June 27 in Bristol.
