Pakistan Men’s Cricket Team coach Mike Hesson said that by dropping Rizwan we have sent the same message that is being sent to other players.

During a press conference in Rawalpindi, the head coach said that before my arrival, Muhammad Rizwan was neither a part of the T20 team nor the captain.

He said that after the West Indies ODI series, we should remove Laga Rizwan from captaincy, the national cricket team was not doing well under Rizwan’s captaincy.

Mike Hessen said that individual performance is considered or the interest of the team is prioritized. The World Cup is next year, we have to consider more options.

The Whiteball coach said the Bangladesh series gave opportunities to young players while Muhammad Rizwan was part of the Bangladesh tour squad.

He said that 10 ODI matches before the World Cup is not enough. We have to work on scoring runs and taking wickets in the powerplay, which we haven’t been able to do in the last year. Work on improving the stroke rate in the middle intervals to reduce the pressure.

Regarding the camp for the series against Australia, he said that we are conducting a white ball camp in Lahore for the last ten days. The confidence of the players has increased in the last year.

He also said that Australia’s ODI record has always been impressive. Pakistan have failed to beat Australia in ODIs many times.

On the question of the deputy commander Mike Hesson said that he does not know about the announcement of the deputy commander Salman Ali Axa. Salman Ali Agha was the vice-captain in the last five series.
