After a clean sweep in the Test series by Bangladesh, the captain of the national team, Shan Masood, said that the main reason for the defeat was missing important opportunities.
After the 78-run defeat in the second and final Test of the series, Shan Masood said Pakistan made too many mistakes in the match which cost them.
He said that after scoring 360 runs in the fourth innings, usually the team is in a winning position, but in the first three overs, Pakistan missed the opportunity to change the direction of the match.
According to Shan Masood, when Bangladesh were 116 for 6, Pakistan should have tightened their grip on the match, but the last four wickets scored costly runs.
According to the national captain, when Pakistan lost 4 wickets for 142 runs, the bowlers should have finished the match with a big performance, but the team failed to do so.
The national captain said that Test cricket is a merciless game where even small mistakes are costly, so the team has to show more consistency.
He also said that Pakistan got into a winning position in several Test matches but failed to finish the match in the last moments.
