Report: Soheyl Imran. Cricket Australia has chosen Chennai as the venue for the inaugural edition of the Big Bash League (BBL).
According to media reports, Australia wants to start the Big Bash League with India and will play the first matches of the BBL season which has already started.
The media report said that the first BBL match will be played in India in December, Cricket Australia has received positive feedback from Tamil Nadu Cricket Association and Board of India.
According to a media report, a 5-member delegation of Cricket Australia attended a meeting in Chennai and the Australian delegation also watched the final home match of the Chennai Super Kings in the IPL.
According to the media report, the Australian delegation has completed the restoration work and the head of the Indian delegation, Mitan Minhas, was also present at the meeting.
In the media reports, it was said that the issues at the government level have not yet been resolved and after that the final decision will be made.
