In all the Test matches played in Bangladesh, only once has a team successfully scored more than 350 runs.

Pakistan’s highest score in Test cricket was 377 runs against Sri Lanka at Pale Banana in 2015, while the world record for a successful fourth chase is 414 runs when South Africa beat Australia in Perth in 2008.

Bangladesh have set a huge target of 437 runs in the Sylhet Test which could create a new history. Sylhet has had just one winning run in the last five Test matches, while Zimbabwe reached a target of 174 runs in a three-wicket win over Bangladesh last year.

Bangladesh were bowled out by Zimbabwe for 321 runs by 151 runs in the opening Test in Sylhet in 2018, while in 2024 they scored 328 runs in reply to 511 runs against Sri Lanka.

In 2023, New Zealand also failed to chase down 332 runs at the same venue and lost by 150 runs.
