Australia’s T20 Big Bash League (BBL) team Sydney Sixers has unveiled a unique jersey number for Pakistan star Babar Azam.
Babar Azam, whose national jersey number is 56, was awarded a unique 3-digit jersey number ‘056’ by Sydney Sixers in the Big Bash League.
The franchise shared pictures of Babar Azam’s new jersey on social media, in which he is seen wearing the jersey with the new number at the Sydney Cricket Ground.
According to the report, Babar was given the unique number as Sydney Sixers fast bowler Mitchell Starc already uses jersey number 56.
Sydney Sixers, while announcing the jersey numbers of the two players, wrote that Babar Azam will wear jersey number 056 and Starc 56 in season 15.
Babar came to Sydney this week to participate in the BBL and the BBL will start from December 14 in which Pakistani cricketer Babar Azam will represent the Sydney Sixers.
It is worth remembering that the Big Bash League will continue from December 14 to January 25, 2026 and 44 matches will be played.
