Pakistan cricket team batsman Babar Azam says that the pitch was good for batting and the ball was hitting the bat better, but the Pakistani team could not build big partnerships.
Speaking at a press conference in Sehlat, Babar Azam said that Salman Ali Axa and I tried to cooperate, the beginning was good, but unfortunately the cooperation could not last for a long time.
Babar Azam said that Bangladesh fast bowler Naheed Rana is a standard fast bowler in the red-ball corner, while every team has balls with a speed of more than 140 kmph and the batsmen are trying to handle them.
The Pakistani batsman said that I tried to play my natural game but sometimes runs are scored and sometimes not, my wickets and Salman Ali Akha proved to be the turning point of the match and after those two wickets the momentum of the match changed.
He said that the team is constantly playing cricket and there is no mental barrier, but partnerships are not being built as per the plan.
He added that two or three good partnerships are very important in Test cricket and batsmen need to take responsibility and build great partnerships.
Babar Azam pointed out that after taking a wicket, in a short period of time other shots fall and the team cannot resist and work should be done on this. According to him, players and coaches are constantly discussing the solution to this problem.
He said that the team enters the field with the intention of doing well in every series, every match and every World Cup and nobody plays with the mindset of failure.
Babar Azam said that it is better for the team to minimize mistakes, while every country plays a different style of cricket and there is always room for improvement.
He said that a three-month camp is organized for the white and red ball kits and the longer the camp, the better.
