Dhaka Test: Pakistan lost to Bangladesh by 104 runs

In the Dhaka Test, Pakistan proved a nightmare for Bangladesh, easily defeating the host team by 104 runs.

In the match played in Mirpur, Bangladesh declared 240 runs for 9 runs in their second over on the fifth day of play and set Pakistan a target of 268 runs to win.

Pakistan team went out for 163 runs to chase down the target. Debutant Abdullah Fazl scored 66 runs. No other batsman could have done it well.

Salman Ali Akha 26, Muhammad Rizwan, Syud Shakil and Azan Oweys were dismissed with 15 and 15 runs respectively, Namaman Ali 4, Imamul Haq and captain Shan Masood 2, 2, Hasan Ali 1 and Shaheen Afrini were dismissed without getting a plan.

On behalf of Bangladesh Nahid Rana 5, Tejul Islam and Tasin Ahmed 2, 2 and Mehdi Hasan Miraz also took one wicket.

It must be remembered that Pakistan won and invited Bangladesh to bat first.

Bangladesh scored 413 runs in the first innings, in reply to Pakistan’s 386 in their first innings.
