Shaheen Afrini won the World Test Championship in the first test match against Bangladesh.
In the first match of the two-Test series between Pakistan and Bangladesh, national team fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi created history by achieving a milestone.
The left-arm fast bowler dismissed three bowlers in Bangladesh’s first innings. He became the first Pakistani cricketer to complete 100 wickets in the World Test Championship when he guided opener Mahmoodul Hasan Joy to the pavilion.
Shaheen Shah Afridi has achieved this honor in just 28 WTC matches, the closest Pakistani bowler to him is Numan Ali who has taken 89 wickets in 20 matches so far.
The overall record for most wickets in the World Test Championship is held by Nathan Line with 224 in 55 matches. Pat Cummins is second with 222 wickets in 54 matches and Mitchell Starc is third with 221 wickets in 52 matches.
