Pakistan U-19 Cricket Team left Karachi for Dubai to participate in ACC U-19 Asia Cup. A total of 8 teams will participate in the tournament from December 12 to 21 in Dubai.
The Pakistan team is placed in Group ‘A’ and will play their opening match against Malaysia on Friday, December 12 at the Dubai Sevens Stadium. The team’s second match will be against arch-rivals India at the ICC Academy Ground on Sunday, December 14, while the third group match will be played on Tuesday, December 16 against hosts United Arab Emirates at the same venue.
It is worth mentioning that before leaving for Dubai, the Pakistan U-19 team participated in a seven-day training camp at the Hanif Muhammad High Performance Center in Karachi, where the players participated in practice matches and special training sessions.
Before the departure of the U-19 team, manager and mentor Sarfaraz Ahmed said that we reminded the players that they are the best young cricketers in Pakistan. His outstanding performance has led him to this point, and we have full confidence in him.
Sarfraz Ahmed said that he has worked a lot in the last 7 days and we hope that he will perform well for the country in the tournament.
The under-19 team for the Asian Cup will be headed by Farhan Yusuf and Usman Khan will be vice-captains and will include Abdul Subhan, Ahmed Hussain, Ali Hassan Baloch, Ali Raza, Daniyal Ali Khan, Hamza Zahoor (defender), Huzeefa Ehsan, Momin Qamar, Muhammad Huzeeper, Muhammad, Muhammad Huzeeper, Naqab Shafiq and Samir Minhas.
The support staff of the U-19 team consists of Sarfraz Ahmed (Director/Advisor), Shahid Anwar (Director/Batting Coach), Rao Iftihar (Bowling Coach), Mansoor Amjad (Fielding Coach), Ebrar Ahmed (Coach), Obaidullah (Physio) and Ali Hamza (Analyst) and Hasmadan Qahiredin (Analyst) and Hasmedan Qahiredin. Khan, Ibtisam Azhar and Umer Zeib.
According to the format of the tournament, the top 2 teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals on December 19, and the final match will be played on December 21 at the ICC Academy Stadium.
Group ‘B’ of the ACC U-19 Asia Cup includes Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Nepal and Sri Lanka. All matches will start at 09:00 with 50 over format.
