English fast bowler Ben Stokes has been cleared to return to cricket, he will represent Durham County Cricket Club in the County Championship match.

Ben Stokes has been unable to play at any level since the Ashes series in Australia this year, while he has had to face further difficulties after suffering a fractured facial bone during a training session in February.

However, the 34-year-old all-rounder has resumed full training and is likely to both bat and bowl in the match against Worcestershire County Cricket Club.

Durham club coach and former Australian cricketer Ryan Campbell said Ben Stokes will definitely bowl and may even start with the new ball at some point.

He said Stokes is now only focused on the success of the Durham club while a return to England will come later.

It is worth mentioning that the English team has to play a Test series against New Zealand and then Pakistan next month, where the team will try to improve its position in the ICC World Test Championship.
