Former India Under-19 and Punjab player, Amanpreet Singh Gill passed away at the age of 36.

According to Indian media, Amanpreet Singh Gill died in Chandigarh on Wednesday, but the cause of his death was not known.

Amanpreet Singh Gill has previously played in the under-19 team alongside star Indian batsman Virat Kohli.

He took 11 wickets in 6 first-class matches while representing Punjab and was also part of the IPL team Kings XI Punjab in 2008.

The Punjab Cricket Association expressed grief over the death of Amanpreet Singh Gill and said that the deceased was not only a former player but also a member of the Punjab senior selection committee.

On the death of Amanpreet Singh Gill, Virat Kohli and Yuvraj Singh also shared condolence messages on social media.

In his message, Virat Kohli said that he was shocked to hear the news of Amanpreet Gill’s death, while Yuvraj Singh said that Amanpreet Singh Gill was a quiet, hardworking player who loved cricket.
