Report: Soheyl Imran. Cricket Australia may face the absence of several key players for the Pakistan tour.
According to Cricket Australia website, some Australian cricketers are busy with IPL while some cricketers are under load management.
The Australian ODI team will arrive in Islamabad on May 23 and the first ODI match of the series is slated for May 30, while the IPL league matches will conclude on May 24 and the playoffs will be played from May 26 to 31.
Australian players from teams that did not reach the playoffs are eligible to participate in the Pakistan tour, while players from the playoff competition or qualifying teams are not allowed to participate in the Pakistan tour.
Mitchell Marsh, Josh Ingles and Cameron Green are likely to feature. Australia have traveled to Bangladesh for the white ball series from Pakistan where Cooper Connolly, Zoar Bartlett, Ben Darshios, Matthew Short will be available for the Bangladesh tour.
The white-ball series against Australia in Bangladesh is scheduled from June 9. Pat Cummins, Josh Hazlewood and Mitchell Starc will not be part of the Pakistan and Bangladesh tours.
It should be noted that fast bowlers will not be included due to the upcoming Test schedule while Travis Head is also likely to be in the list along with the fast bowlers.
Mitchell Marsh or Josh Ingles may be given the responsibility of leading the ODI team. Marnus Labo Sheen, Adam Zampa and Alex Carey are candidates for inclusion in the ODI squad.
Marnus Labo Sheen and Adam Zampa recently featured in the Pakistan Super League and Nathan Ellis and Matthew Runshaw, who have recovered from injury, could also join the tour.
