In the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 11, Hyderabad Kingsmen defeated Islamabad United by 2 runs to enter the final after a thrilling encounter.
In the second knockout match played at the Gaddafi stadium in Lahore, the Islamabad United team managed to score 184 runs and lost 7 wickets.
Mark Chapman scored 43 runs for United. Hyder Ali 31, Devon Conway 30, captain Shadab Khan 22, Faheem Ashraf 19, Samir Minhas 6 and Mohsin Riaz 5 runs.
Chris Green returned to the pavilion not out with individual scores of 21 and Imad Wasim 1.
On behalf of Hyderabad Kingsmen, Haneen Shah and Muhammad Ali took 2 wickets each. Hasan Khan, Saeem Ayub and Akif Caved dismissed 1 player each.
Earlier, batting first at the invitation of Islamabad United, the Hyderabad Kingsmen posted 186 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in the allotted 20 overs thanks to Usman Khan and Kaushal Perera’s impressive partnership of 101 runs.
On behalf of Kingsmen, Usman Khan played a brilliant knock of 61 runs. Kaushal Perera was dismissed for 37 runs.
Other batsmen returned to the pavilion with individual scores of Captain Marnus Labushin 39, Saim Ayub 38, Glenn Maxwell 3 and Moaz Sadaqat 0.
Imad Wasim dismissed 2 Yekgirtü players. Chris Green, Richard Gleeson and Faheem Ashref took 1 wicket each.
