PSL: Match Officials Announced for Qualifiers & Both Eliminators

The panel of match officials for the Pakistan Super League (PSL) matches and the two selections have been announced.

According to reports, ICC Elite Panel match referee Richie Richardson will referee the match between Islamabad United and Peshawar Zalmi on April 28.

Sir Richie Richardson made his debut as a match referee in the Pakistan Super League that same year, the match would be his tenth match in the tournament.

Chris Gaffney from New Zealand and Alex Wharf from England will be referees in the competition. Both are on the ICC International Elite Panel.

ICC International Panel Umpire Faisal Khan Afridi and PCB National Elite Panel Umpire Zulfikar Jan will be third and fourth for the matches respectively.

Sri Lankan veteran Roshan Mahanama will play the role of match referee in both the matches.

Roshan Mahanama has the honor of acting as a match referee in every edition of PSL.

So far, Roshan Mahanama has refereed 127 PSL matches.

Bangladesh’s Shahid Saikat and Asif Yaqub will be the on-field umpires in the first match between Hyderabad Kingsmen and Multan Sultan to be played on April 29 in Lahore.

Shahid Saikat is the ICC Elite Panel Judge while Asif Yaqub is the ICC Modern Panel Judge.

In the first match, ICC Modern Panel Umpire Rashid Riaz will be the third umpire and ICC International Panel Umpire Nasir Hussain will be the fourth umpire.

In the second table, ICC elite panel umpires Ehsan Raza and Shahid Saikat will be on the field, Asif Yaqub will be the third umpire and Rashid Riaz will be the fourth umpire.
