Australia have suffered a major blow as key fast bowler Josh Hazlewood has been ruled out of the rest of the Test summer and the Ashes series due to injury.

Hazlewood suffered a hamstring injury in the Sheffield Shield match last month and missed the first two Ashes Tests as a result. Now Australia coach Andrew MacDonald has confirmed that the speedster’s return this season is unlikely due to injury.

The head coach said that unfortunately Josh will not be a part of the Ashes as he had some unexpected issues. Now their preparation will focus on the T20 World Cup, which is a very important event for us.

On the other hand, Cricket Australia has confirmed that Pat Cummins will take part in the third Ashes Test starting December 17 at Adalat.

It should be noted that the return of Pat Cummins will give a big boost to the Australian bowling line-up, but the exit of Josh Hazlewood is a big blow for the team.

It is worth mentioning that England lost the first two matches of the Ashes series, Australia won by 8 wickets in the first and second Test matches and the third match of the series will be played from December 17 in Adelaide.
