The Pakistan cricket team’s next assignment comes in the form of a 2-Test series against Bangladesh, where the national team will be in the field for crucial points in the ICC World Test Championship.
Preparations for this important tour begin today from Karachi, where all members of the Test squad will gather to participate in the training camp.
The players of the national test team will report to Karachi today, where intensive training sessions will be conducted under the supervision of the team management.
During the camp, special attention will be given to the fitness, technical skills and match practice of the players to prepare the best strategy for the series against Bangladesh.
The players who are participating in the Pakistan Super League 11 will join the camp after completing the matches of their teams.
The camp in Karachi will end on May 1 and the team will leave for Bangladesh on May 2.
The first test match between Pakistan and Bangladesh teams will be played at Sher Bangla Stadium from May 8 while the second test will be played at Sylhet from May 16 and these two matches are part of the ICC World Test Championship.
The Pakistan Test team under the captaincy of Shan Masood consists of Abdullah Fazl, Imad Butt, Azan Owais, Babar Azam, Hasan Ali and Imamul Haq.
Apart from those other players will be Khurram Shehzad, Muhammad Abbas, Muhammad Rizwan, Muhammad Khazi Ghori, Nauman Ali, Sajid Khan, Salman Ali Akha, Saud Shakeel and Shaheen Shah Afridi.
Bangladesh are currently ranked eighth in the World Test Championship points table while Pakistan are fifth in the list.
