In the 36th match of Pakistan Super League (PSL) XI, Islamabad United defeated Hyderabad Kingsmen by 8 wickets.
Batting first, Hyderabad Kingsman set a target of 81 runs, which Islamabad United achieved in the seventh over for the loss of 2 wickets.
Islamabad United young batsman Mohsin Riaz played 42 runs, Sameer Minhas remained unbeaten with 27 runs.
In the match played at the Karachi National Stadium, Islamabad United won against the Hyderabad Kingsmen and decided to field, which proved true and the Hyderabad Kingsmen proved to be a wall of sand in front of the Islamabad bowling line-up.
The Hyderabad Kingsmen batting completely fell apart and the entire team was bowled out for 80 runs in 16 overs, making it their worst pre-season total so far. Earlier, their lowest score was 130 against Qalandars Lahore.
Hyderabad Kingsmen’s wickets fell rapidly in the match, especially in the middle and later overs as neither batsman could manage the innings, Usman Khan was the innings top scorer with 25 runs.
From Islamabad United Richard Gleeson, Shadab Khan and Imad Wasim all three players were dismissed.
Two changes have been made in the Islamabad United team for this match, Mohsin Riaz and Salman Mirza have joined this team instead of Muhammad Hassanin and Muhammad Faiq.
Similarly, Hyderabad Kingsmen made one change, with Asif Mahmood replacing Akif Javed in the team.
