In the key match of Pakistan Super League (PSL) 11, Karachi Kings defeated Lahore Qalandars by 5 wickets while fighting for their survival in the competition.
In this match played at Gaddafi Stadium Lahore, Karachi Kings won and invited Lahore Qalandars to bat.
Qalandars scored 199 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Fakhar Zeman scored 61 runs and Abdullah Shafiq scored 62 runs.
For Kings Karachi, Moin Ali took two wickets, Hasan Ali and Razaullah took one wicket each.
Kings reached the 200-run target in the 19th over for the loss of 5 wickets, captain David Warner playing an unbeaten 63 runs.
Khushdil Shah did the impossible in the dying moments and played a smokescreen to make victory a dream come true for Lahore Qalandars.
Khushdal faced only 14 goals and scored 44 balls including 5 sixes and 2 deliveries. Apart from them Moeen Ali 39, Salman Ali Agha and Azam Khan 14, 14 and Reza Hendricks 10 and Jason Roy also scored 9 runs.
