Report: Soheyl Imran. Pakistan Women’s Cricket Team’s Skills and Fitness Camp concluded successfully in Lahore, where special focus was given on correcting technical deficiencies of the players and improving fitness standards.
Regarding this camp, the advisor of the women’s team, Wahab Riaz, said that the purpose of this camp is to remove the shortcomings of the players.
Wahab Riaz said that he has tried to overcome the deficit that occurred in the series against South Africa here, there are some issues in terms of fitness and bowling that have been worked on and the feedback from the players has been good.
He said that Pakistan women teams have to play ODI and T20 series against Zimbabwe and we want to win the series and they also want to win by a good margin.
The women’s team manager said that he has given the same message to the players that to keep performing, we want to play aggressive and fearless cricket for which we need to score goals.
On the other hand, female cricketer Sadiya Iqbal also said that the more matches we play, the more we benefit from it, we will increase our stability and this camp will help us a lot to prepare for the World Cup and also for the upcoming series.
National cricketer Iman Fatima said that the pre-T20 World Cup camp will be beneficial, Wahab Riaz and Imran Farhat have learned a lot and improved on skills and fitness and fielding.
Iman Fatima said that there was a lot of emphasis on fitness because it had to be improved and now the players have also improved their fitness.
