The 32-year-old Nawaz played all seven matches for Pakistan in this tournament.
He also showed limited performance scoring 15 runs and taking 7 wickets.
Nawaz was also recently issued a NOC for the T20 blast and was expected to officially announce his inclusion, but that plan has now been shelved.
On the other hand, he continues to represent Multan Sultans in the Pakistan Super League.
