Report: Feyzan Lakhani. “Senior and foreign players guide us a lot during practice,” said Muaz Sadaqat, a young cricketer for the Pakistan Super League team Hyderabad Kingsmen.
In an interview with Geo News, Moaz Sadaqat praised the process of learning from the international players in the team and said that small technical changes improve his team.
Muaz Sedeqat expressed his happiness for the honorable return of his team in the current edition and said that the atmosphere of the team is very positive and the players are determined to maintain this continuity.
He said that the atmosphere of the team is very good, what a good comeback and with God’s permission he will try to continue this momentum. The remaining three matches are very important, especially in the context of the knockout stage.
Hyderabad Kingsmen struggled at the start of the competition and the team failed to form the right combination, but after four defeats, the team’s hopes of reaching the top four are now alive with an improved performance.
Moaz Sedeqat said that from the beginning our goal was to be the fourth, in the early matches we could not make a combination but we were sure that we will come back and we still have faith in our abilities.
Talking about his individual performance, he admitted that he was not completely satisfied, even though he scored more than 60 runs in one match and nearly 30 goals in the other two.
He said I don’t agree, because 60 runs should have been converted into a century and 30 runs should have gone into a big innings.
In reviewing his performance, Moaz Sadaqat also mentioned the Karachi wicket as an important factor, according to him, batting here is different compared to other places.
He said that the Karachi wicket is a bit slow, you can’t play a shot here on every ball, you have to play patiently, pay attention to the batting rotation and pick the right balls. In venues like Lahore, the ball is better on the bat, but here the situation is different.
Regarding his future, Moaz Sadaqat said that his goal is to represent Pakistan and play for a long time in the national team.
“I want to represent Pakistan in all three formats, play for a long time and win matches for the team,” he said.
