PSL XI: Peshawar Zalmi set Quetta Gladiators a target of 256 runs to win

In the 29th match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) XI, Peshawar Zalmi chased down Quetta Gladiators by 256 runs to win.

In the match played at Karachi National Stadium, Quetta Gladiators won and decided to take on Peshawar Zalmi. Muhammad Haris gave Peshawar Zalmi a rough start and got out for 16 runs off just 6 balls, but after that, Kushal Mendish and Babar Azam entered the field.

Peshawar Zalmi went on fire against Quetta Gladiators, totaling 255 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in 20 overs, with Babar Azam and Kushal Mendis playing a central role.

Zalmi captain Babar Azam made an unbeaten 100 off just 52 balls with 6 fours and 4 sixes, and offered a fine blend of classic and aggressive batting throughout the innings.

Kushal Mendes also played in devastating style, scoring 83 runs off 44 balls, which included 10 fours and 3 sixes. Babar and Mendes put on a 135-run partnership for the second wicket, leaving the Gladiators bowlers helpless.

In the end, Aaron Hardy scored 26 runs off 10 balls with 3 sixes to take the team’s total to 255.

Quetta Gladiators bowlers looked helpless in front of Zalmi. Jahandad Khan, Alzari Joseph, Abrar Ahmed, Saud Shakeel and others faced difficulties in stopping the runs.

Alzari Joseph took 1 wicket for 59 runs in 4 overs, while other bowlers were also valuable, with Abrar Ahmed and Usman Tariq picking up a wicket each.
