Seventh straight loss, Rawalpindi is out of playoff contention

Rawalpindis also lost their 7th match in Pakistan Super League (PSL) 11, this time against Lahore Qalandars by 32 runs, making Rawalpindis the first team to be eliminated from the play-off stage in the event.

In the 27th over of the match played at the National Bank Stadium, Karachi, Lahore Qalandars decided to bat first and scored 210 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in the allotted 20 overs.

Fekhar Zaman played a match-winning 84 runs off 54 balls while batting on fumes. Young Muhammad Farooq scored 63 runs off 41 balls and Abdullah Shafiq was dismissed with 26 runs and 18 balls.

In the last moments, Asif Ali scored 18 runs in 6 balls and the team passed 200.

On behalf of Rawalpindi, Muhammad Amir and Raza Allah dismissed two players each.

Chasing a target of 211 runs, the Rawalpindi players failed to perform well, scoring 178 runs for 9 wickets in the allotted 20 overs.

Ciwan Yasir Khan played 58 runs and in the last moments Sead scored fifty from 21 balls, but his team could not cross the victory line, he played 54 runs.

On behalf of Lahore Qalandaran, Haris Rauf got 3 wickets, Usama Mir and Shaheen Afridi got 2 wickets each and Daniel Sims and Sikandar Raza got one wicket each.

Fakhar Zaman of Lahore Qalandars was adjudged as the best player of the match.
