Faheem Ashraf admitted that Islamabad United’s current performance has not been entirely ideal, with the team missing some crucial chances that cost them the points table, but the team is still hoping for a strong position.
Fahim Ashraf said, if we look at our team, whether we are satisfied or not, we lost one match and we lost two matches that we should not have lost.
He said: the main goal of the team now is to take its place in the top ranks, and after that, if there is an opportunity, they will make the greatest effort for both.
Fahim Ashraf called the PSL as a turning point in his life and career and said that this league makes players known all over the world.
According to him, PSL is not only the biggest cricket league of Pakistan but also one of the best leagues in the world where high quality cricket can be seen in every match.
He said that every player who performs here gets a chance somewhere, be it Pakistan team or foreign leagues, this is a platform that fast track your career.
He also emphasized that PSL is very important not only for youngsters but also for senior players as one good performance can change the entire identity of a player.
On the environment of Islamabad United, Fahim Ashraf said that the biggest strength of the team is its positive culture and strong core system.
He said that the special thing about the franchise is that every player is given equal opportunity and respect, be it a new player or an experienced player.
Fahim Ashraf said that the greatest quality of Islamabad United is that the team protects its core group, whether young or old, everyone is treated equally, this is what strengthens the team and this team spirit can make Islamabad United different and more successful than other teams.
Faheem Ashraf said about the experience of playing cricket all over the world that the standard of PSL is very high, especially the standard of bowling is tougher and more effective than other leagues.
He said that there is tough competition in every field and players have to prove themselves consistently in batting, bowling and fielding.
The national official said that if you look at all the leagues in the world, PSL is better in many ways, especially in the quality of bowling and fielding.
Fahim Ashraf revealed that team success is more important to him than individual performance, that he always prefers team success over individual records or being a top performer.
