Report: Zahid Anwar Mirza. Famous Pakistani fast bowler Hasan Ali has joined English county team Yorkshire for the upcoming Vitality Blast T20 tournament.
According to Yorkshire County Cricket Club, Hasan Ali will replace Afghanistan fast bowler Naveen-ul-Haq, who will miss the season due to injury.
Hasan Ali will not only feature in the T20 tournament but will also be part of the Rothesay County Championship Squad for the matches against Warwickshire and Leicestershire.
The right-arm fast bowler’s record in T20 cricket is quite impressive. He has previously represented Warwickshire and has taken 44 wickets in three seasons.
At the international level, Hasan Ali has taken 72 wickets in 57 T20 matches for Pakistan and is known as a hitter in the shorter format thanks to his exceptional bowling and skill.
Yorkshire Cricket General Manager Gavin Hamilton said that while Naveen-ul-Haq’s unavailability is disappointing, Hasan Ali’s inclusion will be a big boost for the team.
He also said: Hasen Ali’s experience and skills will be very important for the team and the club is eagerly awaiting his arrival.
