The International Cricket Council (ICC) has sanctioned the Indian cricket team. The Indian team was punished for the slow rate in the second ODI against South Africa.

According to ICC, in the second ODI played on December 3 against South Africa in Raipur, the Indian team was reduced to 2 overs in the allotted time, the match referee Richie Richardson confirmed the action against the Indian team.

According to the ICC, the Indian team was fined 10 percent of the match fee under Article 2.22 of the Code of Conduct.

It should be noted that according to ICC rules, players are fined 5% of the match fee for each visit.

It is worth recalling that the one-off series between India and South Africa was won by the hosts India 2-1.
