Report: Feyzan Lakhani. The Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has appointed Olympian Manzoorul Hasan as the head coach of the national hockey team. Ayaz Mehmud took charge of the boys and Qamar Ibrahim took charge of the under-18 hockey team.
PHF also announced the members of the election committee headed by Samiullah.
According to the PHF announcement, the Hockey Federation announced the National Selection Committee and coaches of various teams to strengthen the hockey structure in the country and achieve better results in international competitions.
Olympian Manzoorul Hasan appointed as Head Coach, Pakistan Senior Hockey Team, Ayaz Mehmood as Head Coach of Pakistan Youth Hockey Team and Qamar Ibrahim as Head Coach of Pakistan Under 18 Hockey Team.
The election board under the supervision of Olympian Samiullah Khan, who was previously appointed as the president’s electors, was also revealed.
Other members of the election board are Naim Akhtar, Kashif Javad, Muhammad Khalid, Atif Bashir and Nasir Ali. According to PHF, during the selection of players, the head coach of the respective team will be part of the selection committee to select the best players based on the merit and need of the team.
